Tue 18th July 06

Yet another busy day with no exercise....

i ate:
small bowl or porridge
2 x peices of toast (1 with jam)
1/2 a mango weis bar
small bowl of muesli
steak and salads

its been raining all day today so i'm hoping that tomorrow at a time when i'm free there will be a break in the rain. well best be of. short and sweet again.

Mon 17th July 06

Today i ate:
2 x crumpets
Orange
Muesli
Tuna sandwich
Small bowl of chilli con carn
bacon and mushroom risotto and 3 bite sized peices of battered fish

i didn't get to go for a walk today. Hopefully tomorrow!

Sun 16th July 06

Well its been a very fun day today. When i went into get Jess she went ag-oo at me followed by zzzz then stuck her tongue out and flashed me one of her award winning smiles. I don't think there's any better way to start the day. She was in a very happy mood all day which was lots of fun.

i ate:
2 x crumpets with honey
small bowl of muesli with skim milk
Home made roast pork sandwich, strawberry yoghurt and scone with jam
lamb chop with salad and potato salad, scone with jam......

hmmm besides the 2nd scone it was pretty good.

i went for an hour walk to the shops with Jess too which makes 5 walks this week (1 more than my goal). i'm really happy because when i wrote my goal of 4 sessions a week last sunday i really didn't believe i'd manage to do that many because so often my day is just filled up with Jess. But having the goal and just making myself do it has been alot easier than i thought it would be. Jess really likes the walks too. In fact on days where shes been a bit grumpy and i'd normally have a half hour of grumpiness until she'd go to sleep. I've just put her in the pram anyway and as soon as we've started moving she's stopped grumbling so its a winner all round. I'm also kind of glad to aim for walks because although i know the creche staff at the gym very well and trust them completely i feel bad leaving her and can't stop thinking that she could start crying and they will be busy with other kids and she could be scared and be wondering where i am.

Well i think thats it for the day....

Sat 15th July 06

Well another busy day. ha ha, like there are any slow days when you've got a young baby. he he. Although i must say Jessica is just the most beautiful baby in the world... i've just put her to bed so was watching her sleep before i put her down and once again was amazed by how cute she is.

today i ate:
2 x crumpets with honey
small bowl of muesli
2 x home made roast pork rolls
Strawberry yoghurt
Fish with rice, capsicum, carrot and shallots
scone with jam

2 x nursing tea, 1 x diet coke water

no exercise today it was raining all day so i couldn't get out.

Fri 14th July 06

Well i started today still feeling a bit down and worrying about Jess but i'm feeling alot happier now. I went for a walk this arvo around 4 and it was whilst i was out on my walk my mood changed and i'm back to happy now so thats good. The walk helped

small bowl of muesli
Quiche Lorraine (1 x slice)
strawberry yoghurt and golden syrup sandwich
fish with rice, sweet potato and zuchini

ooow and i'm just about to go have some water melon. Yum

the drinks are the same as usual....

Thu 13th July 06

a very happy half birthday to Jess...... Yay 6mth old today.

Well i ate:
2 x crumpets with honey
apple
chicken and salad sandwich
Goldensyrup sandwich
chicken and avocado salad
2 x tea, 3 x nursing teas, lots of water

I went for a 40min wal with Jess this morning and planned to do a half hour run this arvo but didn't go. i took Jess to get weighed and found out that in 5 weeks she's lost .1 kgs which is not good. so i spent the arvo worrying and trying to increase my milk supply (hensethe nursing tea). I know i should have gone and exercised anyway but i was a bit upset. I was also told no running etc till i've stopped breastfeeding so it looks like my exercise will now be going for a walk each day.

Well thats it for today lets hope Jess can put on some weight in the next week or its of to the doc's for her. :(

i went for an hour fast walk with Jess

Well i'm still sore from the run but hopefully it'll be a bit better tomorrow. I am finding it really hard to fit in exercise. like today there was 2 hours in the arvo where Jess was asleep and there was housework i should have been doing but i was just lazy and watched tv. I hope in time i'll be as organised and effiecient as my mum. well i'm pretty tired now so i might just relax for a little bit and then go to bed.

Tue 11th July 06

Well i'll try weigh myself sometime soon as i forgot again today.....

i ate:
Rice bubbles with skim milk
Small bowl of muesli with skim milk
Chicken sandwich
Home made hamburger and Home made chips
2 x tea + 2 x diet coke + water

i didn't get to do any exercise today. i was busy non stop, we got home after being away for a week so had washing and shopping etc to do also off course looking after Jess.

All in all a very busy day so although i didn't exercise i was moving pretty much all day so i was active at least (Just would have been good if i could have been able to get my HR up a little).

By the way my legs and bum are so sore from yesterday. i can't bend my knees properly when i walk.

Mon 10th July 2006

Well i forgot to weight myself at the gym today so i'll have to try remember to tomorrow! (i hope its not more than 65kgs)

Today i ate:
2 x weetbix with skim milk
Tuna sandwich + apple
Egg and Lettuce sandwich
Roast Lamb, potato, pumkin and garlic with a dinner roll

i Drank:
2 x tea with skim milk
2 x diet coke
1 x cup of skim milk with spoonful of milo
lots of water

I made myself go to the gym even though i felt like going back to bed (Jess only slept for 3 hours at a time last night, she's recently stopped sleeping through the night so i'm a little tired). I did 20mins on the tread mill and 10mins on the bike but then Jess woke up and needed a feed so i had to stop. Later on in the day though i thought i still need to do 30mins so i took Jess for a fast walk to the shops to get some things for dinner which took 45mins.

All in all i'm happy with today. I realised that i am soooo unfit in comparison to my prebaby fitness. Well it feels good to have started and i can't wait till i've got enough fitness back to be able to go for an 8-10km run and breeze through it again.

Welcome to my Blog!

Hi and welcome to my blog. After recently having my first child (Jessica), I'm now getting back in shape. Just to give you an idea of my exercise to date, i was walking for 45mins to an hour around 4 days a week throughout the pregnancy.

Jessica is now 6mths old and i think its time i started to get moving and shift some weight....
I was somewhere between 60 and 61 kgs when i feel pregnant and was weighed in at 73.9kgs at the hospital when i was in labour. I was very lucky in that when Jess was two weeks old i weighed myself and i was back to 62.9kgs. I am sure i have put on weight since then and would guess i would be around 65kgs now (i will check tomorrow and update you). My goal weight is 58kgs.

I am still breastfeeding and plan to do so until Jess is around 12mths so i don't want to limit my cals or train too hard incase it effects my milk. My goal at the moment is to just get moving again. I hope to exercise 4 times a week (as a minimum) for 1hour. As for my diet i will be cutting down on Junk food (i have a very sweet tooth esp for CHOCOLATE) and adding more fruit and vege.

I plan to use this blog as a way of documenting my food intake and daily exercise. I will also record how i incorporate exercise into my busy schedule and any difficulties i have too. At the moment i definitly don't feel comfortable in most of my clothes because i feel fat and look at myself and think yuck on a daily basis.

Soooo the time has come to get moving 1st day tomorrow.
